PATRICK HUTCHINSON - Partner

Patrick Hutchinson has spent a decade working in the agricultural industry in Australia and is well known for his comprehensive understanding of the red meat supply chain. He knows the people and the organisations that shape the industry, who to talk to and how to talk to them, and understands the issues and the priorities of the different industry organisations. Patrick began his career in the meat industry at the Australian Meat Council in 1998, working on behalf of the meat processors,   initiating negotiations with producers, agents, saleyards government and other industry bodies to address issues affecting meat processors. In 2003, Patrick moved to Meat & Livestock Australia (MLA) where he was responsible for the creation, development and implementation of one of the world’s largest on farm certification programs, Australia's Livestock Production Assurance (LPA).  He also developed on farm quality systems, and worked with industry on major traceability and performance feedback. Patrick was a former winner of the Royal Agricultural Society Rural Achiever of the Year and the “Young Achiever” award from the Beef Improvement Association of Australia.  

CYE TRAVERS - Partner

Cye Travers has been employed within various sectors of the red meat industry since 1996. He is exceptionally trained in the red meat processing sector, being a former winner of the Australian Intercollegiate Meat Judging Competition. Cye was Meat & Livestock Australia's Value Based Marketing Manager as well as Meat Standards Australia Grading Assistant Manager. This has put Cye as one of the most well respected eating quality experts in the red meat industry. Cye has a large range of qualifications within the meat specification and product grading. Cye has also been involved in the forefront of farm management innovation, managing a large scale pastoral company, Chandler River Pastoral Company, for eight years. This has given Cye the unenviable reputation as a high level livestock management expert.  Cye was a former winner of the Royal Agricultural Society Rural Achiever of the Year and the “Young Achiever” award from the Beef Improvement Association of Australia. After Chandler River Pty Ltd, Cye was employed with Pfizer Animal Genetics heading up the major customer manager team.
